Upcoming Events

Every spring, the team at Rails-to-Trails Conservancy encourages folks to shake off the winter and celebrate America’s amazing trails. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, this year’s celebration will be simple: they are asking people to share their trail experiences to show how valuable trails are in connecting us and inspiring wellness. In addition, they will provide resources to help you plan solo, family- and household-friendly, virtual and other trail adventures—plus, opportunities to win awesome trail gear and other prizes!
For more information on this Rails-to-Trails initiative go to the Celebrate Trails Day hub of the RTC website or follow #CelebrateTrails on social media for updates. You can see ways to safely enjoy the trails even in these uncharted times at #SharetheTrail.

Cancelled Events
Along with most organizations these days NKTA and most associated groups have been forced to cancel or postpone normal events. We plan to keep you up to date once restrictions are lifted. Some limited trail work continues in the two regional parks; contact those stewards for information on how you can help.
Work Party Registration Required
Covid-19 restrictions also apply to work parties in Kitsap County Parks. Consequently, please be sure that you have filled out a Volunteer Registration Form on the Kitsap County Park Department website and have checked with the work party leaders to be sure the workparty has space available.
