This blog started with me rambling about trails and travel in the PNW, but it’s grown into something bigger — outdoor stories, gear reviews, home stuff that somehow ties into traveling light, and just general “life on the move” kind of writing.

What Kind of Posts I Accept
Here’s what usually works well:
✓ Travel stories
PNW, U.S., or honestly any place you’ve been and have something real to say about.
✓ Outdoors & hiking
Trail guides, safety tips, what-you-learned-the-hard-way kind of posts.
✓ Lifestyle & simple living
Habits, morning routines, travel-friendly living, how you balance stuff.
✓ Gear reviews
You’ve used it? You have opinions? Perfect.
✓ Sustainability
Small eco habits or things you noticed while traveling.
✓ Home & Living
Decluttering, organizing gear, prepping for trips — that sort of stuff.
❌ I don’t accept
- AI-generated spam
- Fake product reviews
- Purely promotional content
- Casino, crypto, loans, or medical claims
(Unless the content is contextual + soft + genuinely helpful)
If you’re not sure, just ask.
Writing Style Guidelines
I’m not super strict, but here’s the vibe:
- Keep it human, conversational
- Light mistakes are fine (actually preferred)
- Real stories > generic advice
- 900–1,400 words is usually enough
- Include at least one personal experience
- Keep SEO natural, not robotic
- Don’t keyword-stuff (Google hates it, and so do I)
Links Policy
You can include:
- 1–2 contextual links max
- No homepage or irrelevant links
- No “buy now” type anchors
- No exact-match hard anchors (“best loan company” etc.)
I’ll change anything that feels off.
Nothing crazy — just enough to keep the site maintained.
How to Submit

- Your topic idea
- A short outline
- A link to your writing samples (optional)
- The URL you want included (if any)
I usually reply within 24 hours unless I’m on a trail.
Turnaround
Most posts get reviewed within 48 hours.
If you don’t hear back within 2 days, assume I wandered off into the woods and send a reminder.
What You Get
- A permanent post on the site
- Real traffic (mostly U.S., mostly PNW-based)
- Clean, natural formatting
- Social shares (if it fits the vibe)
